Follow this strategy: rank requireds, budget your time and stick to your time budget.

First rank your requireds by impact and importance. Then time budget your requireds based on your writing speed and level of depth. Then stay true to your time budgets – no matter what, don't go over your time budget. If you do this for all requireds, you will consistently finish on time.
