A documentary series about H.M. Queen Ingrid in six sections.
The first section is about the period 1910 to 1920 and tells us how the Bernadotte family comes to the throne in Sweden, and how the little princess, who later becomes Denmark's queen, comes to the world. Dramatic political upheavals in Europe give limited power to the monarchies that survive. Also in Scandinavia, the royal houses are shaken, but at the summer castle Sofiero, little princess Ingrid experiences only family life's idyll.
