The Pennsylvania outdoor adventures continue with the season 2 premiere of PA Native! We're back on the Susquehanna River completing the last 20 or so miles of the River Trail's middle section from Halifax to Harrisburg, having covered the 30 miles from Sunbury to Halifax in Part 1. Go check it out if you haven't seen it! Launching at Clemson Island in Halifax, we kayak and paddle south past the Clark's Ferry Bridge and where the Juniata River empties into the Susquehanna. Thad leaves the group south of Duncannon and paddles up Sherman Creek while Ryan and Troy continue onto Island 81a where they do some river island camping on the Susquehanna River for the night. The next day its back on the river to tackle the rapids of the Dauphin Narrows, take in the views of the Statue of Liberty, float under the Rockville bridge and run the rapids of the Rockville Ledge. We pass Fort Hunter and come into downtown Harrisburg crossing under different bridges and passing many island until we reach midtown Harrisburg and City Island where the Susquehanna River Trail Middle Section ends. It's an incredible journey and a fantastic trip for the experienced camper and kayaker. Another kayak camping adventure for the ages by the PA Native crew.
