I secretly toss some of the stale fruit and veggies out in the yard for the animal folk who frequent our yard. In the summer I toss it quite far from the house but in the winter I don't get them out that far. I saw some of the deer on our porch a few days ago and thought they might be hungry so I tossed a couple apples out last night and by morning they were gone with tracks everywhere. I have never fed them like this before nor will I again.
