“POHON UNTUK IKN”

18 Oktober 2022 yl, dalam kegiatan “Ibu Kota Nusantara Sejarah Baru Peradaban Baru”, Presiden menyampaikan; Nusantara dibangun dengan konsep kota pintar masa depan berbasis alam dengan 70 persen area di IKN merupakan area hijau. Lahan yang digunakan dalam pembangunan IKN saat ini, kata Presiden, merupakan hutan produksi monokultur dengan satu jenis pohon yaitu pohon eukaliptus yang ditebang setiap enam sampai tujuh tahun sekali.

“Itu hutan produksi yang setiap enam tahun, tujuh tahun ditebang. Ini yang kita ingin kembalikan. Justru nantinya (kita) ingin jadi hutan heterogen dengan pohon asli dan endemik dari Kalimantan, sehingga nanti kita harapkan menjadi hutan hujan tropis lagi, di Kalimantan,” lanjutnya.

Langkah pertama untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut yaitu pemerintah menyiapkan pusat persemaian yang telah dibangun pada bulan Juni lalu. Presiden berharap persemaian dengan luas lahan 15 hektare tersebut akan mampu menghijaukan kembali Kalimantan dengan menyemaikan berbagai jenis bibit tanaman.

“Luas lahan persemaian ada kurang lebih 15 hektare dengan embung 7 hektare. Kita harap selesai nanti di awal tahun yang kapasitas bibitnya setiap tahun bisa menghasilkan kira-kira 15 juta bibit per tahun,” tambahnya.

“TREE FOR IKN”

Precisely later (we) want it to become a heterogeneous forest with native and endemic trees from Kalimantan, so that later we hope it will become a tropical rain forest again, in Kalimantan," he continued.

The first step to make this happen is for the government to prepare a nursery center which was built last June. The President hopes that the nursery with an area of ​​15 hectares will be able to re-green Kalimantan by sowing various types of plant seeds.

“The area of ​​the nursery is approximately 15 hectares with a 7 hectare pond. We hope that it will be completed at the beginning of the year, where the annual capacity of seeds can produce approximately 15 million seeds per year," he added.
