The Costa Rican Orange Mouth Tarantula is native to Central America, specifically Costa Rica. It has large fangs with orange hairs that make it look like it is smiling. The spider is found in forests and lives in trees. It consumes small vertebrates and invertebrates. Females are larger than males and live for around 12 years, longer in captivity. Males usually only live for around 3 years. They are fast and venemous and should be approached with caution.
