The Sabbath is the day God rested after creating the heavens and the earth for six days.

And God instructed people to rest on the Sabbath,

But He also ensures the universe is well-maintained even on that day.

He keeps the stars in the sky moving orderly,

fills the trees and flowers with abundance,

lets animals run and birds fly freely,

and ensures fish thrive in the water.

Inside our bodies, He keeps the heart beating, lungs breathing, and digestion working.

What would happen if these things didn't work on the Sabbath?

It would be a disaster, we would die

God cares for our bodies even on the Sabbath.

Jesus also wanted people to live happily,

so He showed compassion by healing the sick even on the Sabbath.

On the Sabbath,
we can think of God and worship Him,
praise the Creator as we look at nature,
and help those in danger.

Instead of working for our own benefit, let's do more good deeds on the Sabbath.

"The Sabbath is the day that God has blessed."

"We can share blessings with others by doing good deeds."
