Living abroad always comes with a lot of challenging experiences as well as learnings, and in this video I talk about those struggles I faced living in Kenya for 9 months. All the things mentioned are based on my own experiences as well as lean on what Kenyans themselves have told me about their society and are not meant to criticize or say that the experience would be same for everyone - just take them as things I personally had a hard time with.

A couple of clarifications:
1. In terms of safety, I think my experience is more that of a woman than that of a white person.
2. I absolutely do not see myself as a white saviour - but I did need to make the decision of whether I use my education for something that feels meaningful to me or not, and working (together with people from all over the world) on "bigger problems" made more sense to me.
