Towing is one of the things that separates the Astro from other minivans and because it's based on a full size truck, it can actually do a pretty good job, with a factory tow rating of over 5000lbs! However, just because it can tow more than most other vans, doesn't mean it's particularly good at stopping. In this video, I'll show you how to install a 7 pin trailer plug and brake controller so you can haul bigger loads with greater safety.
