Diam's is one of the handful of women to infiltrate the male-dominated world of French hip-hop. She has reached the top as a rap icon with powerful lyrics that speak out against the flaws of a divided French society. After converting to Islam, she put an end to her musical career, saying being exhausted by this inhuman environment and wishing to return to a "normal" life.
