When presbyopia begins (around age 40) we are in the position to start wearing progressive glasses. For people who are used to wearing glasses it is not so much of a problem, but for people who are used to wearing contact lenses it is a problem having to start wearing glasses suddenly.

For this type of people there are progressive or multifocal contact lenses. Progressive lenses will allow you to see at all distances with the comfort of wearing contact lenses instead of glasses.

There are different types of progressive contact lenses, they require adaptation by a professional and should never be a substitute for glasses, but rather a complement that you can alternate with your glasses to enjoy good visual health.
