Acclaimed Catholic man of letters, writer, biographer and literary critic Mr Joseph Pearce introduces the history of England and the Catholic Faith ahead of his forthcoming book "Faith of our fathers: A history of true England" (2022).

Topics examined include Christianity in Roman Britain, the formation of England during the Anglo-Saxon period, the Protestant rupture, the Catholic Second Spring of the 19th Century and the calling of the English soul.

A native of England, Joseph Pearce is the internationally acclaimed author of many books, which include bestsellers such as The Quest for Shakespeare, Tolkien: Man and Myth, The Unmasking of Oscar Wilde, C. S. Lewis and The Catholic Church, Literary Converts, Wisdom and Innocence: A Life of G.K. Chesterton, Solzhenitsyn: A Soul in Exile and Old Thunder: A Life of Hilaire Belloc.
