Shinje གཤིན་རྗེ་, : The God of death responsible for cycle of death and rebirth. Shinje Chaam is performed once in three years in some of the selected Monastery of Sikkim. The main motto of this Chaam is impart the value of righteousness among the masses. There are many character in this Chaam which includes animal like Ox, Lion, Monkey, Sarpent, Deer, Parrot they are entrusted with to bring the human soul to the court of Shinje (Yamraj or God of death) The Lhakachung (white god) ( guardian of righteousness) Dee Nakchung (black demon ( guardian of Sinner) are the main character. From the human world character for righteousness is played by Khimdak Peki and Sinner is played by Dikchen Nyawa bum.
