105th and Euclid: The Winston Willis Story is a feature-length documentary about the little-known and long hidden true story of a decade's long fight over land between a courageous and enterprising young black entrepreneur named Winston E. Willis and the powerful Cleveland political white establishment. This film will present through eyewitness accounts, archival footage, photos and court documents, the storied history of the famous and coveted intersection known as 105th and Euclid, and the prized real estate of Cleveland’s University Circle area. An area now owned by the Cleveland Clinic that was previously transformed by Willis in the late 60’ s and early 70’s. His open defiance of the Cleveland Clinic’s expansion and the illegal activities of their political allies, the City of Cleveland, and University Circle Incorporated (UCI), culminated into an unconstitutional incarceration of Willis and the destruction of his businesses and gun-point seizures of his property. This socially relevant documentary aims to bring awareness to this injustice and raises the issue with eminent domain agendas in and around urban cities.
