OUR MUSICAL HERITAGE - A DIGITIZED PRESERVATION THROUGH STREAMING PERFORMANCE
A project by Fabian Lim, Matthew Siew, & Noah
The main purpose of the project is to bring back surviving musicians from Singapore bands from the 1960s to record their original music. These digital music videos will be released on an open web platform as a referential archive for the public. Due to the restrictions of Covid-19 pandemic, band performing videos were substituted for live streaming performances instead.

The Trailers were formed by Victor Woo and Eric Tan in September 1964. Tony Zee joined first as a rhythm guitarist then took the drum throne. Other members who joined the band at different times were, Benny Koh (the first singer), Vernon Cornelius, Michael Teo, Jimmy Chan, Patrick Foo. The unique sound of the band was established with the use of the keyboards in the recording. Eric Tan was the main songwriter for the ban's hits. Other than Tony Zee, the rest of the members have declined to various reasons which included health issues.

I was disappointed to find out that when this project was started last year, Victor Woo has passed on in June 2020.

The Trailers musicians for this recording are
Tony Zee - Drums (The original Trailers guitarist and drummer)
Henry Chua – Lead Guitar (originally from the Quests)
Winston Koh - Lead vocals (originally from the Flying Phantoms)
David Ng - Rhythm Guitar & Bass Guitar
Fabian Lim - Keyboard (not in video)
