Located in South West Jakarta, British School Jakarta (BSJ), formerly know as British International School (BIS), has a beautiful 18 acre campus that has been specifically designed to enrich the academic life of all students.
BSJ was founded in 1974 with support from the British Embassy to educate the British and Commonwealth families living in Jakarta. Today, BSJ still has many expatriate families at the school, as well as many Indonesian families, forming a community of over fifty nationalities, with students from the ages of 3 – 18.
From the classrooms and hubs in Primary to the specialist classrooms in Secondary, staff and students together are able to enjoy high quality teaching and learning. In addition to these academic facilities, BSJ has a large theatre, a swimming pool, tennis courts and football pitches on campus to provide multiple opportunities for students to have an enriched experience at the school. In 2018, BSJ completed the new sports hall, which is of national standard specifications.
