Long derided for its weak 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, Nissan upgraded the 2025 Kicks with a 2.0-liter unit that produces 141 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque. Up by 20 hp and 26 lb-ft, this should silence critics. A CVT (continuously variable automatic transmission) sends torque to the front, or, for the first time in a Kicks, all four wheels when equipped with optional AWD.
