Camporaghena is a small and ancient village in the Italian province of Massa Carrara, Tuscany.
It seems that the name means "field of hurricanes", perhaps due to the violent storms that often lash the hamlet going down from the sharp ridges above it.
In the recent past, the village has become depopulated, a destiny common to most mountain places. But here, there was an unexpected turnaround.
After the inhabitants left for the cities in search of work, new inhabitants have arrived from the large centers of the plain, attracted by the fascinating atmosphere of the place, by its silences, by the human scale life and by a sort of loneliness that loneliness is not.
Because in Camporàghena you can have, in every season, the company of a suggestive natural environment and, when and if you wish, of other people who share the love for this place.
