Eid Ul Azha is referred to as Bakra Eid in Pakistan. Muslims sacrifice animals on this Eid in remembrance of the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim AS. The meat of the sacrificed animal is divided into three parts. The meat is divided into three parts: one for the poor, one for relatives, and the third for household consumption.

Muslims begin Eid Ul Azha by offering prayers for Namaz e Eid. After Namaz-e-Fajr, eid prayer is carried out early in the morning. After the Eid prayer, the animals are sacrificed and will continue until the third day of Eid. Individuals prepare unique meat dishes at home and invite each other to lunch and dinner.

Eid-ul-Azha 2024 will be observed on June 17th, 2024 in Pakistan. The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Pakistan determines the exact date of Eid Ul Azha 1446 Hijri in Pakistan by looking at the Zil Hajj moon.


Eid Ul Adha is a festival that lasts for three days in Pakistan. Nevertheless, the celebrations and holidays can last for four days or more.
