Wanna race?

Today I sat down and did a solo playthrough of HEAT: Pedal to the Metal. I've got this on the table a few times with a full group of friends and its always a good time. The solo play is a fast setup and easy to resolve all the game-controlled opponents.

Throughout the game I kept taking the cards I had played for that round and saying that I was "discarding" them. That isn't the actual "discard" step in HEAT. You always have to put the cards you've played for the round into your discard pile. The actual "discard" step involves discarding eligible cards from your *hand*. Very important distinction there.

Near the beginning I did misplay it slightly. I forgot to shift to 3rd gear. I played 3 cards, but never moved my gear pawn to 3. I think this actually ended up hurting me overall as I ended up spending an extra heat I didn't need to. Let me know if you spotted any other mistakes!

Today I'm using a lapel mic to keep the sound a lot more consistent. Hope it works out!

What are some other games you might want to see played?
