"Ufo Concerto" for wind orchestra and euphonium; an outstanding composition!
The soloist, Glenn van Looy, is a very skilful and thereto a young musician; taking everything into consideration it's an incredible well done performance.

Yes, indeed an experiment, and yes truly a beautiful recording with a lot of natural space due to the OCT-system recording technique. I hurry to say that of course the listeners (the audience) have to judge, but nevertheless I'am very proud on my achievement.

However there is one important remark!
The soloist is standing right next to the conductor and almost right beneath the center-mic.
That's why the orchestra is mixed with the center-mic at -6dB to reduce the level of the euphonium. I did NOT use the seperate solo-mic, it was'nt necessary at all.
Playing fortissimo the euphonium remains too loud.
Please listen also to the "Hary Janos-suite" with the center-mic at 0 dB position.
