exploring the most chaotic channel on television: TLC

Hey guys welcome back to my channel! Today we're going to be looking at a channel on TV that i’ve wanted to make a video on for AGES, honestly even before i made a YouTube channel i’ve wanted to talk about how weird this channel is. For those of you who might not know, TLC is an American television channel that pretty much only airs reality tv shows and really popularized a lot of current show concepts we see today like the big ~family reality show~ genre with series like 19 Kids and Counting and Jon and Kate Plus 8. I’d honestly go as far as to say they probably played a strong role in inspiring Youtube’s family channel genre as well. Though today, they’re most well known for their 90 Day Fiancé series and its... numerous amount of spinoffs lol.

I’m not kidding when I say there is NO shortage of weird content on the channel considering they seem to be stuck in a cycle of trying to out-weird themselves every time they come out with a new show concept because they’re famous for being chaotic…. jake paul tease. SO I thought today we could look at the past, present and future of TLC, I don’t check up on the channel very often so this video was a nice opportunity to reacquaint myself with the channel as there were (albeit VERY few) some shows I used to watch and enjoy from them as a kid! I’d definitely say that while I thought as a kid the shows on the channel could get a bit weird at points, TLC has definitely gotten a LOT weirder in recent years.

So hopefully you guys enjoy the video, if you watched TLC growing up I’d love to know if you felt the same way about some of the shows i mentioned or if there were any i missed that you liked or hated with as much passion as my 10-year-old self had for hating jim bob.
