What I've affectionately named 'THE GREAT HOUSATONIC/KENT ICE JAM OF 2018' continues to keep route 7 closed in both directions from Bull's Bridge to Kent center. The water seems to be receding but that's whats causing the ice to fracture and float both over AND under the still solid ice. That is what's causing the river to back up and rupture the ice sheet from underneath, spilling the river over it's banks and onto low lying areas alongside the Housatonic River.
