Deep in the heart of the darkest region of the Congo, an eight person field expedition dies mysteriously and brutally in a matter of minutes.
Ten thousand miles away, at the Houston-based Earth Resources Technology Services Inc. supervisor Karen Ross watches a gruesome video transmission of that ill-fated team: a camp destroyed, tents crushed and torn, equipment scattered in the mud alongside bodies . . . and the grainy, moving image of a dark, blurred shape.
In San Francisco, primatologist Peter Elliot works with Amy, a gorilla with 620 "sign" vocabulary and a fondness for finger painting. Her recent drawing matches, with stunning accuracy, the frayed, brittle pages of a Portuguese print dating back to 1642. . .a drawing of an ancient lost city.
Immediately, a new expedition is sent into the Congo, descending into a secret world where the only way out may be through the grisliest death. . .

All of this channel's uploads contain significant and unique edits only known by me. Any copying or reproduction of this channel's content will be promptly reported. Creating these uploads took a lot of time and labor on my part. Seeing other users continually copy, take credit and post my content in part or in it's entirety as their own is extremely frustrating and disappointing. If any channel subscriber or random viewer notices any of my content appearing on other channels I would strongly encourage you to please report it to YouTube as well. Thank you!

The majority of these audiobooks, which were converted from audio cassette tapes into digital Mp3 files are over 30 years old. Some of the cassette tapes had to be taken apart and spliced back together, which can be a very delicate procedure. Just a little something I thought I would do so I could salvage these particular works and share these with others before the tapes and tape players deteriorated completely and before the world of analog recording becomes completely obsolete. Most are not true books because they are abridgements. When I first started collecting these audiobooks, unabridged books on tape were either very rare or extremely costly. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit.
