Tungtap is a kind of Chutney prepared from fermented dry fish and roasted tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, chilies, onions, garlic and Sichuan pepper Corn. You can add other ingredients of your choice. Tungtap is famous among the Jaintia and Khasi people.
Its an appetizer the moment you smells it's aroma you are bound to get hungry....
It is usually serve with hot rice or boil maize or boil potatoes...
When we go to field or forest or to the farm Tungtap and rice is best feast...Offcourse for those who loved it..
