Powdered Sulfur is excellent to lower soil PH. The micro particles of powdered sulfur easily works it’s way down into the soil profile. Think of powered sulfur as a micro prill compared to granular sulfur. With powdered sulfur, your get maximum coverage throughout the soil profile due to the ultra fine particle size. Powdered sulfur is “bite size” for the soil microbes (not exactly… but you get the picture). Because of if the superior coverage and micro particles, microbes can break it down faster than granular sulfur therefore acidifying your soil faster and lowering your soil PH.

Lessons Learned while doing this application:
1) Mixing citric acid and a wetting agent together in a spray application has the potential to burn the grass. Best practice is to get the wetting agent down a day or two prior to applying citric acid.

2) For the Sulfur application - I was experiencing clogging while trying to spray out the powered sulfur. Increasing the carrier fluid and using less powdered suflur per application would have made for a smoother application with less clogs. Also having a higher carrier volume helps to get the sulfur down to the soil and off of the leaf blade.

3) NEVER.EVER.EVER Use your wife's dishes from the kitchen for lawn chemicals or making youtube videos. " I'm sorry dear... never again!!!! "
