In the month of Kartik that coincides with wintry November, the one-month long carnival Kartik Mela is held in Ujjain. This is my take on the Kartik Mela with a dash of Bollywood. I imagine iconic Bollywood characters like Gabbar Singh and Mogambo in the mela and how will they interact with the fun elements like maut ka kua (sillodrome), giant wheel (ferris wheel), balloon shooting, fortune-telling weighing machine etc. Kartik Mela is the biggest attraction of Ujjain after Mahakal Temple, Kaal Bhairav Temple, Kumbh Mela, and Kshipra River.
