Step 1: Shaping on the Lathe
First, the piece is mounted on the lathe, where it’s shaped with steady precision by Troy. The contours are carefully refined, creating a smooth and even base that’s essential for the perfect finish.

Step 2: Sanding with Zona Paper
Next, we move to sanding with Zona paper. Troy starts at 600 grit to remove any marks, then works through the grits, finishing with 22,000 grit for a crystal-clear, super smooth surface.

Step 3: Polishing for Shine
After sanding, it's time to polish! Troy applies a polishing compound, followed by low-speed buffing (around 800 RPM) to bring out a beautiful shine and enhance the clarity of the resin.

Step 4: Buffing to a High Gloss
For the final touch, a soft polishing wheel or cloth is used to achieve a high-gloss finish. To make it extra smooth and shiny, Troy adds a coat of car polish or carnauba wax, leaving it with that perfect glass-like gleam.
