I'm a stage 4 cancer patient in remission - so being scared is part of the drill. It is true that my first diagnosis in 2018 and my recurrence in 2023 both were confirmed in February... but logically that doesn't mean I should freak out just because the calendar has turned.

I can and should be scared because of the serious diagnosis, my knowledge of what I'm facing, and my history that is tied to the calendar and milestones. Cancer is a human experience, and we tend to rely on time/chronology a lot to center ourselves. This is no different... only I hope that the results moving forward can be.
