This Hybrid craps strategy submitted thru dice advice, uses the don't pass with odds and place bets the 6 & 8. The hope is to win on a couple hits of the place bets, and then when the 7 shows, you collect on win from don't pass as well. Gotta look out though, you don't want to roll the point.
