James Joseph Brown (Barnwell, May 3, 1933 - Atlanta, December 25, 2006) was an American singer, songwriter, musician and dancer. Considered one of the most important and influential figures of 20th century music [7], he was a pioneer in the evolution of gospel and rhythm and blues music, as well as soul, funk, rap, and disco music. [8] [9] Famous for its explosive stage presence, the work of a sort of revolution of the classic melodic arrangements, shifting the rhythmic accent for the first time on the first and third measures of the measure, it uses, as it was typical, on the second and fourth. His way of being on stage and his style were taken up by artists such as Mick Jagger, Prince and others [10]. He was the idol and the greatest inspirer of Michael Jackson [11] [12]. As a separate group, the players of J.B. they are also played as support bands for Bobby Byrd, Lyn Collins and other singers. According to the WhoSampled website, James Brown is the most sampled artist of all time. Considerato una delle più importanti e influenti figure della musica del XX secolo[7], è stato un pioniere nell'evoluzione della musica gospel e rhythm and blues, nonché del soul, del funk, del rap, e della disco music.[8][9]
