House finches have decided to build a nest behind an active violet-green swallows nestbox (see    • Violet-green swallow nestbox  ). The female does the hard work but the male comes to inspect. There is no aggression with the swallows but another intruding house finch is seen off. Close-up video was taken with an endoscope camera mounted on a pole several cm from the nest and can be seen in the wide-angle shots.
