Here's a recap of our journey with Phoenix, our classic Maurice Griffiths Eventide 26. It hasn’t been without its challenges—our 4x4 gave us a fuel line headache, and we discovered more uncured epoxy on the transom, meaning we had to scrape and resand again. Even Gwynneth and Timothy got pulled into the chaos, taking a break to nurse a sick chicken. By Sunday, we were ready for the top coat, but after using up three cans of primer, we still ran short, and of course, the shops were closed. There's always more to do, and visitors kept dropping by to check our progress, including one guy who walked up and said, 'That’s an Eventide!' (More on that soon).
