This is not your normal running shoe review video.

This is real world review video.

Ever since i could crawl i was running. When i got older i ran, i ran away from school, i ran away from friends, i picked up ball and ran. I would put on my dad's oversized spikes and would do sprints in the street. Then for a while, i hated running. And now i am back. And fast as…

Since i started running again a few months ago i decided to buy a pair of running shoes. These shoes. They suck. Don’t buy them. When you see a pair of running shoes priced ridicously cheap, don’t even think of buying them. There is a reason why.

Now these shoes aren’t bad looking, they look pretty cool, like the Lance Armstrong era cool. Black and yellow. Nice mesh upper, look pretty bouncy, they advertise it with a carbon plate. But it's none of those.

These shoes are rubbish. The carbon plate is just a fake carbon, it is for show and nothing else. The sole is as hard bricks. I can build a house with these shoes. When you tie them, they fold and hurt your foot. So what do you do with these shoes? You throw them in the bin.

So i bought these shoes. These are the Asics gel cumulus 25’s, they are very comfy and soft. Which i like. They are heavy but it makes you stronger. They are more for easy long runs. Definitely not a fast shoes. In fact, my Adidas Ultra boost from 7 years ago is still faster and bouncier than these.

Now i might have to buy another pair of shoes for the cape town marathon. And it sucks. When you started going down the rabbit hole of looking for the right shoes it becomes crazy. Either they are too expensive or they are in the middle, but still terrible. I want a fast and bouncy shoe that can easily do a full marathon.

Who knows what that will be. All i know is, i need to go run.

See you in the next real world review.
