Here I turn a bowl made from pieces of wood glued together to form a star inside of the bowl.
This bowl has a star shape inside and out. It is made of 49 pieces of wood. I used Ash and Walnut plus a small piece of Maple.
The star is not inlaid but it is a part of the the glue up to make the bowl. All pieces go from the inside to the outside. The star is glued first then the outside pieces are added to form the bowl.

This is somewhat of an extreme segment glue up but was worth the effort I put into it.
