Extract files from a Sony HDD/DVD recorder

We are asked to get the video files on the hard disk of a Sony model RDR-HXD995 DVD/HDD recorder, which is apparently similar to a Pioneer. We use Isobuster software for this job, with some extra help from Windows and Freemake Video Converter.
