In 1964, the 1950s R&B/rock'n'roll vocal group, the Willows, reorganized to record for the New York-based Heidi Records, releasing two singles that year. At the time, they consisted of Richard Davis, lead, twin brothers Ralph and Joseph Martin, Joe’s wife, Dorothy, and bass Freddy Donovan who had joined in 1956. At this June 13, 1998 performance at the Holiday Inn Ballroom in Taunton, Massachusetts, the Willows (the four surviving founding members, Davis, the Martin twins and Tony Middleton) performed “It’s Such A Shame”, one of the four Heidi recordings. It was the first time the song had been sung on stage in 35 years and turned out to be the final one as well.
