Coore and Crenshaw are reimagining the Pines Course at The International Golf Club in Massachusetts. For decades, the Pines Course was best known for being the longest golf course in the world. Coore and Crenshaw have completely re-routed the golf course to take better advantage of the site’s interesting topography, unique landforms and mature vegetation. Take a look at how the course is taking shape from April to November.

Hole Eleven is the longest par 5 on the course offering many options and challenges for shot strategy. The carry over the water will tempt longer hitters to bite off as much of the water on the right side as possible however, playing the hole as a true tree-shot par 5 is the most prudent strategy. Your layup second shot needs to carry a well-placed bunker to a plateaued fairway. The third, short iron shot is played to a small, bunker-guarded green.
