When we decided to bring pigs on to the homestead, the first thing we heard was how we'd be chasing them through the woods after the escaped. Horror stories of lost pigs that were due to be butchered made us second guess if it was the right choice.

But, with some solid training to avoid the fence, that we implemented early, we haven't had any escapees yet, and they don't even go near the fence for the most part.

In this video, Jack talks about how we set out our two strand electric fence, and how we trained the pigs to avoid it.

In part 2, we will cover what to look for in a fence charger, and some tricks we figured out along the way to make it more effective.
