The single version of Someone's Coming, released by EMI in 1979. This was the second and final single from Steve Harley's 1978 debut solo album, Hobo with a Grin (after he disbanded Cockney Rebel in 1977).

Someone's Coming was due to be released in November 1978, but the release date was ultimately pushed back to March 1979. For its release as a single, the song was remixed and shortened by approximately half a minute. It failed to enter the UK Singles Chart. This is a vinyl rip as the single version has never appeared on any other release.

The song is notable for featuring Marc Bolan on backing vocals in his final studio session before his death in September 1977. It also features former Cockney Rebel members Duncan Mackay on electric piano, George Ford on bass and Stuart Elliott on drums. On guitar is co-writer Jo Partridge, who first joined Cockney Rebel as rhythm guitarist on the Timeless Flight tour in 1976. Gloria Jones and Yvonne Keeley also provide backing vocals.
