CHAKAT ABOH GRACES UKZWA FOUNDATION DAY

New Kothin.15th January 2024: Honorable MLA of 56th Khonsa West A/C Smt. Chakat Aboh ,as Chief Guest and the President of Elite Society of Dadam Area ( ESDA) Sh. Tirang Sumnyan as Guest of Honour respectively graced the Foundation Day programme of the United Kothin Zone Welfare Association (UKZWA) today.
The United Kothin Zone Welfare Association basically comprises mainly four villages namely Old- Kothin, New Kothin, Boakfom-I and Boakfom -II . The Foundation Day programme of UKZWA was started with the welcome address proposed by the President of the Organizing Committee,Sh.Khuwang Lowang and the profile and a brief history of UKZWA was read out by the Secretary of UKZWA Sh.Tipho Thinra.
While extending New Year greetings to the mammoth gathering, Honorable MLA and Chief Guest Smt.Chakat Aboh lauded the UKZWA for inviting her as Chief Guest and praised the Executive Members of United Kothin Zone Welfare Association for such an event. She advised the mammoth gathering to stay united and requested the parents of the school going children to be vigilant towards their Children as today most of the students are found engaged in using substance such as drugs and opium.
In his speech,the Guest of Honour and President of Elite Society of Dadam Area (ESDA) Sh.Tirang Sumnyan , advised the public of Kothin to stay united as any kind of development is only possible through Unity.
BJP Mandal President Sh.Nyewang Lowang,also spoke and shared his view on the occasion.
Earlier special invitee Sh.Noklam Bisai praised the idea of organizing Foundation Day of the United Kothin Zone Welfare Association. He cited an example of an old adage "United we stand; divided we fall ".
A week-long Foundation Day programme includes - Games like Cricket Tournament and Volleyball Competition amongst all Kothin villages and Literary Programmes such as Essay writing Competition, Extempore Speech Competition and Elocution to add a few.
During the programme,Cash award with citation to the toppers of Class X and Class XII students of academic year 2022-23 were given by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour.
A day-long program was concluded with the Vote of thanks by the advisory board member of UKZWA and Ex -ASC ,Sh.Hedam Kamhua.
