In this video, I take a ride out to the Desert View Tower, a California State Historical Landmark located right off Interstate 8. This incredible structure, believed to be around 500 years old, offers stunning views of the surrounding desert landscape. During my visit, I had the chance to meet Ben, a longtime resident of Holtville, who shared some great local stories. I also explored the unique cave sculptures known as "sand scalpers" and climbed to the top of the tower to take in the breathtaking view.
