On July 4th, 2018, a 53-year-old pilot and his brother-in-law took off from Bad Vöslau (LOAV) for a flight to Wels (LOLW). After takeoff, the Cessna 172 climbed very steeply, stalled and crashed into the meadow to the right of the runway.
