Take a few moments and relax as you wait for a friend to show. The title is.a play on the old saying when you've arrived early at a restaurant and you reply simply, 'waiting for a friend'. The rhythm came about from me tapping my fingers on the table as I was actually waiting . . . strange the places where music originates.
