Can a miter saw be used to cut metal? YES

While it is not ideal, you can use a miter saw for cutting metal as long as you use the right blade. However, since the miter saw was not designed specifically to cut through this type of hard material, you need to factor in what kinds of applications you'll be using it for.
Concerting the miter saw is as simple as checking the speed and changing the blade.
You need to make a few adjustments to clamping abilities and then you are cutting like the best.
My 18v Miter saw with this cold cut blade is able to slice through whatever i can throw at it.
I chose the Tenru steel-pro Stabiliser but i have seen promising looking blades from other brands like Diablo and Dewalt.

The blade seen in the video can be found here
