Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett have been "ride or dies" for nearly three decades since the release of the first Bad Boys film in 1995. The strong bond of the characters, respectively played by Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, is credited for the enduring appeal of the franchise.

On the red carpet at the film's premiere, Bad Boys: Ride or Die stars Smith and Lawrence commented on how the franchise is still going strong. Lawrence addressed how his relationship has evolved over the years with Smith, observing how his co-star is much more dependent on rehearsals these days than he used to be. Smith agreed before going on to explain why the movie series is still so popular, suggesting this comes down to how everybody can relate to wanting someone in their lives who is as loyal as Mike and Marcus are to one another.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die was directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, and it was written by Chris Bremner and Will Beall. Along with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in the lead roles, the film also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núñez, Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, and Rhea Seehorn. Smith produced with Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, and Doug Belgrad.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die is now playing in movie theaters.
