Synopsis

Uttam Chaudhary (Anupam Kher), a retired Hindi professor, grapples with the devastating effects of Alzheimer's disease. His world shrinks as his memories fade, leaving him confused and disoriented. Uttam's daughter, Trishala (Urmila Matondkar), becomes his primary caregiver, witnessing his struggle firsthand.

As Uttam's condition worsens, he becomes fixated on a peculiar delusion: the belief that he is responsible for Mahatma Gandhi's assassination. This haunting conviction stems from a carelessly placed ashtray on a newspaper picture of Gandhi, triggering a distorted memory. Trishala desperately tries to understand her father's guilt while seeking treatment options.

The film explores the emotional toll of dementia on both the patient and the caregiver. Trishala faces difficult choices, balancing her love for her father with the demands of her own life.
