Five little ducks went out to play,

Two little ducks went out one day,
Over the hill and far away.

But only one little duck came back.

One little duck went out to play,
Over the hill and far away.
Mama duck said, "Quack, quack, quack,"
But none of the little ducks came back.

Oh no! Where could they be?
Mama duck was sad as can be.
She called again, "Quack, quack, quack,"
And all five little ducks came back!

Five little ducks, what a happy day!
They’re back with Mama, ready to play.
Quacking, waddling, here and there,
Dancing around without a care!

They splash in puddles, swim in the pond,
Playing together all day long.
With a quack, quack here and a quack, quack there,
The little ducks are everywhere!

Up the hill and down they go,
Waddling fast, not too slow.
They chase the bugs and flap their wings,
Laughing loud at all the things!

When the sun begins to set,
The little ducks aren’t done yet.
They quack some more and hop around,
Wiggling tails, making sounds.

Finally, Mama duck says with a smile,
"Time to rest for a little while."
She quacks once more, "Quack, quack, quack,"
And all five little ducks come back!

Five little ducks snuggle in tight,
Under the moon, shining bright.
They dream of fun, of ponds and hills,
Of waddling feet and little thrills!

In the morning, they’ll play again,
With quacks and waddles in the rain.
But for now, they close their eyes,
And sleep beneath the starry skies.
