I kept noticing a pattern in different videos with pieces that they made in chrome music labs.

First off, some pieces have this same chord progression, all throughout the piece. It doesn't even change a bit! I would recommend to try thinking of different progressions that you can use throughout your piece. This can really help it have more variety.

Second, the melody isn't very well thought out. It's also quite boring once you listen to different pieces and hear the same arpeggios and scales that are supposed to sound "cool". I think that instead of just having those arpeggios and scales, you should have more lyrical and flowing melodies. Melodies that can be sung, melodies that can be understood by even the most unexperienced music lovers. However, the arpeggios and scales are really quite a handy-dandy tool for creating melodies. Just try not to overuse them, like what I did in the video.

Third, the patterns are the same all throughout the piece. Let's say that we have some sort of staccato pattern, just like what you'll hear in the piano of "All my fellas". Make sure not to be boring and daft, and use it in every part of the piece. You should try some other things, like try making it smooth, rigid, sad, happy, or you can even change the genre into classical, jazz, or even reggae!

Lastly, I want you all to expand your limits. Try out something new, not just the same ol' "boss music 8-bit sick game arpeggio song" thing. Try different genres!

I am terribly sorry if I made you think that I hate your songs. In fact, I really like them! All you need to do is to think more creatively. It's okay if you wish to keep the style that you want, but you should always go beyond your limit and try new things. (I'm just a novice in music theory as well, so we are on the same page here.)
