Analog horror is a genre I have become fond of over the years. I’ve watched it evolve from just one or two short webseries’, to a full fledged subgenre in the span of only a few years. In those years though, its popularity may have been its detriment. Many new analog horror videos follow many tropes introduced by the medium that many have grown tired of. It’s made me ask the question, is there a future for analog horror? Will the subgenre burn out? Or will it continue to evolve and adapt with people’s interests. This is what I am seeking to answer today.
